Il Present Perfect Continuous si usa per parlare di un’azione che è iniziata nel passato e continua ancora adesso, oppure che si è appena conclusa ma ha un risultato visibile nel presente.

She has been working here for three years.

Present Perfect Continuous Forma

Subject + have/has been + V-ing

I have been studying all morning.

Present Perfect Continuous Regola

  • Si usa per un’azione che è iniziata nel passato e continua fino ad ora.
    I have been living in this city since 2022.
    Vivo in questa città dal 2022.
    They have been learning English for six months.
    Studiano inglese da sei mesi.
  • Si usa per un’azione che si è appena conclusa, ma il cui risultato è visibile ora.
    She is tired because she has been running.
    È stanca perché ha corso.
    Your clothes are wet because it has been raining.

  • Sottolinea la durata o il processo di un’azione.
    We have been working on this project all week.

  • Si usa spesso con for e since per indicare la durata.
