ተውሳከ ግሶች አንድ ሰው አንድ ነገርን እንዴት እንደሚያደርግ ወይም አንድ ነገር እንዴት እንደሚከሰት ለመናገር ይረዱናል። ብዙ ጊዜ እንዴት? የሚለውን ጥያቄ ይመልሳሉ።

አብዛኞቹ ተውሳከ ግሶች ከቅጽል ቃላት ላይ -ly በመጨመር ይፈጠራሉ። ግን በርካታ አስፈላጊ ልዩ ሁኔታዎች አሉ።

Hard እና hardly የተለያዩ ትርጉሞች አሏቸው። Hard “በጥረት” ማለት ነው። Hardly “ማለት ይቻላል አይደለም” ማለት ነው።
