Superlatives 使用する
私たちは、ある集団の中で性質の程度が最も高い、または最も低いことを表すために最上級を使います。最上級は、ある人・物・場所がほかのすべてより際立っていることを示します。たとえば、最も背が高い、最も興味深い、最も良い、最も安くない。
通常、最上級は、3人以上の人や物を比較するとき、または文脈からその集団が明らかなときに使います。

Superlatives フォーム
最上級は、形容詞によって異なる方法で作られます。短い形容詞には通常-estが付き、長い形容詞には通常the mostが使われます。いくつかの形は不規則です。
short adjective → the + adjective + -est
long adjective → the most + adjective
opposite meaning → the least + adjective
