Past Perfect folosim

Past Perfect este folosit pentru a vorbi despre o acțiune care a avut loc înaintea unei alte acțiuni sau a unui alt moment din trecut.

She had left before I arrived.
Plecase înainte să ajung eu.

Past Perfect Formă

Subject + had + V3.

I had finished the report before the meeting started.
Terminasem raportul înainte să înceapă ședința.
They had already gone home when we called.
Plecaseră deja acasă când am sunat.

Past Perfect Regulă

  • Past Perfect arată că o acțiune s-a petrecut înaintea altei acțiuni în trecut.
    When I arrived, they had already started the meeting.
    Când am ajuns, ei începuseră deja ședința.
    He had locked the door before he left.
    Încuiase ușa înainte să plece.
  • Este adesea folosit cu before, after, when și by the time.
    By the time we got to the station, the train had left.
