Pluskvamperfekat se koristi da se govori o radnji koja se dogodila pre druge radnje ili trenutka u prošlosti.

She had left before I arrived.
Отишла је пре него што сам стигао.

Past Perfect Форма

Subject + had + V3.

I had finished the report before the meeting started.
Završio sam izveštaj pre nego što je sastanak počeo.
They had already gone home when we called.
Већ су били отишли кући када смо позвали.

  • Pluskvamperfekat pokazuje da se jedna radnja dogodila pre druge radnje u prošlosti.
    When I arrived, they had already started the meeting.

  • Често се користи са before, after, when и by the time.
