Demonstrative Pronouns folosim

Pronumele demonstrative sunt cuvintele acesta, acela, aceștia și acelea. Ele ne ajută să indicăm o persoană, un lucru, un grup de lucruri sau o idee: aproape sau departe, la singular sau la plural.

These flowers are for you.
Aceste flori sunt pentru tine.

Demonstrative Pronouns Formă

Forma depinde de două lucruri: singular sau plural și aproape sau departe. Aceste cuvinte pot apărea înaintea unui substantiv sau pot sta singure, fără un substantiv.

Demonstrative Pronouns Regulă

  • Folosește this și these pentru lucrurile care sunt aproape de vorbitor: aproape fizic, într-o imagine, în mâinile tale sau în situația actuală.
    This phone is new.
    Acest telefon este nou.
    These flowers are for you.
    Aceste flori sunt pentru tine.
    Look at this photo.
    Uită-te la această fotografie.
  • Folosește that și those pentru lucruri care sunt mai departe de vorbitor: departe din punct de vedere fizic, „acolo”, mai aproape de ascultător sau care nu mai sunt în momentul prezent.
    Do you like that picture?
    Îți place fotografia aceea?
    Who are those people?
    Cine sunt acei oameni?
    That shop across the street is closed.
    Magazinul de peste drum este închis.
  • Acesta și acela sunt folosite cu substantive la singular. Ele pot fi folosite și cu substantive nenumărabile.

  • Acestea și acelea sunt folosite doar cu substantive la plural.

    these / those + plural noun

    These shoes are comfortable.
    Acești pantofi sunt comozi.
    Those apples look nice. Can I have one?
    Merele acelea arată bine. Pot să iau unul?
  • Când acesta / acela / acestea / acelea sunt folosite fără un substantiv, ele înlocuiesc un lucru, o persoană sau o idee care este clară din situație.
    Come and look at this.
    Vino și uită-te la asta.
    Can I have one of these?
    Pot să iau una dintre acestea?
    I do not like those. They are too expensive.
    Nu-mi plac acelea. Sunt prea scumpe.
  • Asta se referă adesea la ceva care tocmai s-a întâmplat sau la ceea ce tocmai a spus cineva.

  • În expresiile de timp, this înseamnă adesea perioada curentă sau cea mai apropiată: în această dimineață, săptămâna aceasta, anul acesta. That se poate referi la trecut sau la o perioadă de timp deja menționată.
    I am very busy this week.
    Sunt foarte ocupat săptămâna aceasta.
    We met in Paris in 2019. That year was unforgettable.
    Ne-am întâlnit la Paris în 2019. Acel an a fost de neuitat.

Demonstrative Pronouns Greșeli tipice

Greșelile frecvente sunt de obicei legate de număr: this / that nu pot fi folosite cu substantive la plural, iar these / those au nevoie de verbul are.
